Online Nominations

When legislation allowed, Election Services developed the Elections Plus™ Online Nominations product, to simplify the process for both election managers and candidates. Using this election platform, the entire process is paperless.

The software saves time and resources for council electoral officials, who can receive and process hand delivered nominations altogether, on the one election platform. This makes the workflow more efficient and accurate, without errors from reading hand-written information. Users can also access an up-to-date list of candidates as soon as nominations are submitted, and can download or export information specifically for electoral purposes. The Elections Plus™ Online platform may also be used by council electoral officials to issue special votes.

For candidates, submitting an election nomination online is easy. Setting up an account, signing and submitting a nomination over several sessions is simple. Users can work at their own speed. Enrolment and eligibility as nominators is confirmed in real time, with subsequent agreements automated for simplicity. Approval status is immediately visible with an election nomination online. No postage or hand delivery is required.
