At Elections Services, we have has been providing electoral officers and election management services to local government, for over 30 years. Our highly experienced and professional team offer an end-to-end service; covering all aspects of election administration and governance.

Election Services electoral officers are detail focused, and ensure the principles of the Local Electoral Act 2001 are administered as required by law. Appointed by councils, statutory electoral officers advise and oversee the conduct of elections, by-elections, polls and referenda. Their role in providing local government election services is absolutely impartial.

The team also review and advise on matters regarding representation arrangements (as required every three or six years), including review of those elected, how they are elected, wards, and boundaries. Election Services have previously represented councils at the National Electoral Reference Group—Taituara—regarding matters of electoral policy. We can also liaise with media and act as a primary point of contact through our call centre.
